Remote position. This role has been filled.

RaftLabs is an AI-native custom software development company building products and platforms for clients across the globe. We operate as a fully remote team across SaaS products, enterprise integrations, and AI-powered workflows.

The role

This is not a typical project manager role.

You would be the single point of accountability for delivery across all active projects at RaftLabs, sitting above our project managers, not beside them. Your job: every project runs on track, every client gets regular updates, every manager follows through. When they don't, you escalate, course-correct, or take charge.

Think of it this way: 15 projects running in parallel, five managers owning them, you owning all five.

What you'd own

Delivery oversight: keep a real-time pulse on every active project — timelines, risks, blockers, progress. No delivery slip goes undetected.

Manager accountability: every PM follows their defined SOP, consistently. Run regular check-ins and hold them to their commitments.

Client health: every client receives regular, structured updates. PMs document meeting minutes after every call. Temperature checks happen before dissatisfaction surfaces.

Estimation and billing hygiene: review estimates before they go out. Catch underestimation, over-commitment, or scope creep early. Make sure work gets billed correctly.

Process compliance: every PM follows the RaftLabs Manager OS — our internal delivery operating system. Identify gaps and close them through coaching, escalation, or process improvement.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years managing software delivery at a services or agency company.

  • Has managed multiple projects simultaneously across different domains and client types.

  • Has directly managed project managers or team leads, not just developers.

  • Solid familiarity with SDLC (Agile, sprints, releases) — enough to challenge estimates and spot risk.

  • Prior experience specifically at a tech services or custom software development company.

  • Exceptional at context-switching: billing conversation to technical estimate review to client escalation in the same afternoon.

  • Strong communicator, written and verbal, in a fully remote environment.

  • Has worked in a fully remote setup and can build accountability without micromanaging.
